Jaletta Long Smith is a litigation associate at Andersen, Tate & Carr in Duluth, Georgia. She joined the practice after serving as a law clerk to the Honorable Britt C. Grant on the Georgia Supreme Court. I previously served as a law clerk to the Honorable Kristine G. Baker on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas. She has served as the Interim Director of the Arkansas Office of Professional Programs, Staff Attorney at the Arkansas Office of Professional Conduct, and as a law clerk to three Justices of the Arkansas Supreme Court, including Justice Robert L. Brown (retired). Jaletta graduated from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock with highest honors and served as Executive Editor of the Law Review. She graduated with honors from Clemson University with a dual B.A. in Communication Studies and Spanish and was the Clemson Tiger Feature Twirler from 2002-2005. Jaletta grew up in Dacula, Georgia, and graduated from Dacula High School. She currently lives in Gwinnett with her husband, Andrew, and their two children. Reading, literacy, and community involvement have all been important to Jaletta throughout her life and she is thrilled to join the Gwinnett County Public Library Foundation.
