BOOK CLUB is a special, annual recognition society for library foundation donors who make a generous annual gift to strengthen their library by generously supporting the foundation.
These community campaigns—lead in each community by Library Champions—raise critical funds that strengthen and expand the reach of library programs in the community. The library foundation depends on this regular, generous annual support from individuals and businesses who support literacy and education for all ages.
Did you know…
That 52% of Gwinnett County children are not prepared for Kindergarten. Gwinnett County Public Library completed a data mapping project to identify the county’s Pre-Ks and daycares. This data then was taken and contributed to work on increasing kindergarten readiness by Gwinnett County Public Library system and partners including United Way of Greater Atlanta, The Community Foundation for NE Georgia, Gwinnett County Public Schools, and Gwinnett Technical College.
That any student with a Gwinnett County Public Library card is able to use tutor.com free of charge by going through the libraries website (www.gwinnettpl.org).
That Gwinnett County Public Library System refurbished over 600 computers and provided them to Gwinnett County Students and families that were in need of access to home technology for not only distance learning, but for those parents that needed to work from home during COVID.
That Gwinnett County Public Library system partnered with Vision to Learn and was able to provide free eye exams and glasses to 252 school aged students between 5 branches of the system.
