Auveed Bagheri Cawthon is the Publisher and Editor of the Gwinnett Citizen newspaper, a 34 year old,  locally owned community newspaper, Business Consultant specializing in community affairs and Ghost Writer. She grew up and raised her family in Gwinnett County and currently resides in Duluth.

 

Auveed is a board member of the South Gwinnett Cluster Foundation and Heart of Gwinnett Business Networking. Through Heart of Gwinnett (formerly New Lawrenceville) and the Spring Green Festival, she has assisted in raising over $125,000 for community non-profit associations through community minded efforts that have supported the Boy Scouts of America, Amanda Riley Foundation and numerous Lawrenceville nonprofit organizations.

 

Auveed has a passion for reading, traveling, puzzles, cooking and community endeavors. Auveed attended Emory at Oxford, Emory University and the University of Georgia planning to go into medicine and changed course to follow a passion of entrepreneurship and her passion for marketing, journalism, and all things community.
